I'm a 71 year old female and I didn't have any trouble assembling it all by myself using an electric drill with Phillips head bit, a regular Phillips head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I have assembled lots of furniture in my life so I was not intimidated. I purchased a 6" mattress for it and it feels comfortable when I lay on it to test it our. I plan to buy a memory foam mattress topper for it as well. It should be a nice option for overnight guests at the little lake place.. Linda. Dallas, TX. Wed Sep 09 2026

Great bed, but be patient while assembling. Take your time. Youll definitely need more than 1 person. Another reviewer said to make sure you assemble in the room you want the bed... he was right. The packages arrived beat up. Thankfully there was no damage. Regarding the bed itself, the horizontal opening seems safereasier to open for a shorter person. The only challenge is stopping midway down to unfold the feet. I also wish there were more than 5 slats under the mattress. We added a few more, ourselves. Just to make sure it had more support. Otherwise no complaints.. Barbara. New York, NY. Sun Sep 13 2026

The looks great! If you are not a pro putting this things together, hire someone or just don’t buy it. I have put together at least a couple of dozen do it yourself furniture and had not encountered anything as difficult as this. The instructions are very poor and the QR codes weren’t that much help.
