I just finished assembly. It took me way too long but I got it done! It looks beautiful. You do have to be careful with some of the screws in the manufactured wood but the finished product is solid. I do think the back panels should be the same manufactured wood as the rest. The very thin nails to secure part of the cardboard panels are difficult to hold let alone nail in. Overall it’s a nice cabinet but it doesn’t even come close to holding 20 pairs of shoes. Maybe kids shoes. For reference I wear a size 9 women’s and if your tennis shoes are not flat converse you’re not able to use the double stack feature this unit eludes to. I was able to double stack sandals on the top but tennis shoes on the bottom and I tried with my lowest pair and if still didn’t work with turning them around or trying to angle them to the side. The cabinet is metal, and while it’s not extremely sturdy when being moved — mainly because the back consists of two thin panels secured together — it feels perfectly stable once assembled and in place. The glass panels allow you to see the shoes, though I’m considering frosting them for a cleaner look since I don’t need them visible. Taller boots may not fit unless you remove or adjust a shelf. really liked the look and finish of the cabinet. It was easy to assemble if you take time to review the instructions. My only concern is that shoe compartments are small! I bought it for my son’s room to make him keep his shoes organised, but even sneakers youth size 6 fit tight if you use 2 compartments.
