Really powerful fan! It has the option of a cool mist that's great for dry air. You can use it separate from the fan as well. It also has a cooling function. You put water in the base and add the ice packs that are included to make the fan blow cooler air. It's not nearly as cool as an air conditioner but it's better than hot dry air blowing when it's too warm out. It comes with 4 ice packs so you can use two and have two in the freezer to switch out. The fan looks really nice and doesn't take up a large footprint. It has given me the ability to put off using the air conditioner a bit. This outdoor weatherproof oscillating misting fan is huge. It definitely has to be mounted. See 2nd photo for mounting bracket. We haven't mounted it yet. We are still deciding where to put it. This fan works excellent, and the misting feature is a huge bonus for anyone who runs hot. My kids love it to give them a little extra cool in the hot summer months. I am a huge fan because it is actually very quiet even on its highest setting. It’s bigger than I thought so it’s not something that you could use on a small desk, but it works well on medium sized desks or bookshelves. I like to set it next to the vents in our house so whenever the air conditioning on it helps move the air around well. We also love the nightlight feature. It has all different colors and then it also has a rainbow feature that changes which is pretty fun. It’s not overly bright so it works great as a nightlight. When i ordered this fan I was looking for something easy and light weight to use on my patio. When I got it assembled I was so excited Impressed with its abilities. It is very light weight and has a handle to hold for moving it around. It came with a remote controller and it can be charged to use cordless. Ive never seen anything like it.
