Well, im sorry to say that the stool didn't function after i put it together. I pushed the lever and the seat went to its highest point snd wouldn't adjust down to the level i needed. Im trying to get advice on it or will try to replace it. Addendum. My brother read somewhere to turn the stool upside down and place it near heat overnight and i did that and apparently the lubricant inside the tube melted because i was able to adjust the seat down to a ht i wanted so now the seat is satisfactory, so i give it 4 stars for good price and looks minus 1 stuar for this glitch..
