16-gallon stainless steel rectangular kitchen motion sensor trash can has a sensor-activated butterfly lid that opens automatically with a wave of a hand for touch-free operation and easy trash disposal. Stainless steel with fingerprint-resistant coating.

I wasn’t sure but I have to say it’s been a kool addition to the kitchen. Ebony. Chicago, IL. Sat Oct 03 2026

The trash can looks nice and that's all it has going for it. The sensor is not as sensitive as it should be to pickup motion and to stay open while dumping trash into it. The lid closes very shortly after you wave to open it but needs close proximity to the sensor to detect for open. There are times it would not open until you were about 2 inches from it. The lid also stayed open if your hand was in it and the sensor did not detect your movement while dumping until you waved over the sensor again. I would not recommend this trash can.. Michael. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this trash can. It is compact but has enough capacity for every day bathroom use. The step pedal makes it easy to open without touching the lid, and it closes smoothly and quietly. The matte black finish looks modern and elegant, and the size fits perfectly in my bathroom without taking up much space.. Adrianap. Tue Sep 01 2026

Keep your kitchen tidy without ever touching the lid. A responsive infrared sensor opens the lid as you approach, and a button lets you hold it open for up to 10 minutes while you cook or clean. It runs on 4 standard AA batteries - cheaper and easier to find than the D cells many sensor cans require. The removable bag ring grips liners tight and hides the bag edge, so bags go in and come out without snagging, and the fingerprint-resistant steel body wipes clean in seconds.

I got this to replace two smaller trash cans in our master bath and I am very happy with the choice. The matte black matches our other finishes. Just the right size for the bathroom and is very easy to install the batteries. Bonus it came with trash bags.. Penelope. Lexington, KY. Mon Aug 24 2026

Just received this trash bin, so I can only share my first impressions. I purchased the 16 gallon size, which is very large but it's still a pretty compact trash bin. I like it a lot. It arrived well packaged with no damage, it's nice looking and works very well and I think it is a good value for less than $100. It actually might work a little too well, sometimes the top opens up just from my walking by a little too close. But that's not really a problem. It is nearly silent and I like the butterfly opening a lot. I can't speak about durability since I just got it. But based on first impression, I absolutely recommend purchasing this trash bin.. Gene.
