The Blue and White Porcelain Oval Fruit Jar with Lid from Legend of Asia carries one of the most enduring decorative traditions in ceramics. Cobalt brushwork covers the body of this fruit jar with blossoms, ripening fruit and scrolling vines, painted freehand so every piece differs slightly. The softly flattened oval jar shape gives it a slimmer profile than a standard ginger jar, which makes this lidded jar easy to place against a wall, on a narrow ledge, or as shelf decor between stacked books. High fired in southern China until the porcelain jar body is dense and sealed, it is fully waterproof and weatherproof. As a blue vase it brings classic blue white color to a mantel, and as a small statement piece it anchors chinoiserie decor and layered asian decor.

As far and wide as Jamie travels, she is always called back to the sea. These stunning, hand-blown glass shells as a testament to that love. True works of art, no two will be identical.

Large Oriental porcelain temple jar finished with a unique white ridged design. Display in matched pairs on a hearth, breakfront, credenza, or alone on a pedestal or plant stand. The lids are removable, and great for storing collections of small objects. A wonderful accent piece to complement traditional or modern home decor styles.

After a 3-year search for just the right accent in my foyer, I finally found it! I paired this gorgeous jar with the "Polzin 22" High East Asian Vase Stand" (Wayfair), and the effect is stunning. The jar is not quite pure white, but has just a whisper of gray. In my opinion, the softer shade of white looks more rich than a bright white. The size is perfect - looks majestic, with the clean lines and octagonal detailing on the lid, but is not so large as to be overwhelming. Perfectly elegant.. Bridget. Holyoke, MA. Tue May 13 2025

Far eastern design oriental ginger jar crafted from high-temperature vitreous porcelain. Lovely Ming dynasty era and ladies art motif. Classic Ming Chinese decorative porcelains have accented traditional European and American interiors since the middle of the 18th century.

Very nice ginger jar. Finishing touch for room with Chinese motif. Very nice.. Anonymous. Houston, TX. Sun Jul 19 2026

A classic and elegant square design jar with Fu Dog lid is a true nod to Song dynasty style Chinese porcelain. The traditional blue and white glaze blends well with modern and eclectic home decors, as well as more traditional style interiors.

I’m actually surprised at how high quality this ginger jar is, I was super skeptical but it’s gorgeous in person and very large. I’m using it as a floor piece to fill space under a console table. So many mass-produced ginger jars seem to be really low quality and whenever they have foo dogs on them the dogs are really amorphous and have zero detail. This jar is actually really nicely detailed and the foo dog on the lid is well done. I love it!. Veera. Tempe, AZ. Tue Mar 04 2025

Mountains, mist and windswept pines travel around this small jar from Legend of Asia, turning a mini jar into a pocket sized landscape vase. The scene is hand painted freehand in cobalt on a pale ground, echoing the ink paintings that scholars once hung in studies, and no two skylines are alike. Built from high fire porcelain in the southern Chinese town where ceramic first began, the porcelain jar is shaped by hand and fired until dense, glassy and waterproof, so it can live indoors or in a covered outdoor spot. Its classic ginger jar silhouette and fitted lid make it easy shelf decor for a nightstand or bookcase, and it layers beautifully into tabletop decor beside taller pieces. Refined blue white pattern and genuine asian decor character in one small chinoiserie decor accent.

Vase is really nice. Looks expensive. Much larger than I thought.. Courtney. Oakland, CA. Sat Feb 21 2026

Legend of Asia scales a full garden scene down to this mini jar, where a pheasant steps among open peony blossoms in classic cobalt. Every piece is hand painted, so the small brushstrokes vary from jar to jar and each lidded porcelain jar feels individual. The small vase fits where larger pieces cannot, on a nightstand, a bath counter, a desk or a narrow bookshelf, making it useful shelf decor for tight spots. High fire porcelain gives it a hard, glossy surface that wipes clean and resists moisture. Use it as a ginger jar for rings and small keepsakes, group three across a mantel for layered chinoiserie decor, or keep one on hand as a gift idea that suits almost anyone. The blue white palette blends easily with existing asian decor in any room.

Love it. Just what I needed to enhance my collection. Very pleased with whole purchasing process , No disappointed here!. Alma. Sharpsburg, GA. Thu Jul 21 2022

The peony is called the king of flowers in China, a symbol of prosperity and honor, and Legend of Asia gives it the whole face of this little jar. Layered cobalt petals open across the front as a hand painted peony motif, lending a mini jar the pedigree of far grander chinoiserie decor. Nothing is stenciled, so petal shape and shading differ from piece to piece, and slight variation in size and finish is simply the character of handwork. Shaped and high fired in the southern Chinese town regarded as the capital of ceramic, the porcelain jar carries a smooth, waterproof glaze that is safe indoors or under cover outside. Six inches tall, this blue white piece is effortless shelf decor, a small vase for clipped stems, or a giftable ginger jar for anyone who collects asian decor.

Very sweet piece. Great addition!. Christine. The Hills, TX. Wed Apr 27 2022

A mane-heavy guardian lion chases a brocade ball around the body of this Legend of Asia mini jar, drawn stroke by stroke in cobalt so the animal keeps real movement. Guardian lions have stood at Chinese gateways for centuries, and that protective symbolism gives the lion jar more weight than its size suggests. Every detail of a full-scale ginger jar is here: domed lid, rolled shoulder and neat foot, reduced without being simplified. High fired porcelain makes the lidded jar dense, waterproof and weatherproof. Small in footprint, the jar slips into bookshelf decor, onto a bathroom counter or a desk corner, and the lid lifts for rings and pins. Pair it with the plum and pine version for blue white chinoiserie decor, asian decor and collected home decor.

its perfect. Tiffany. Fri May 16 2025

Legend of Asia paints a full landscape onto a very small canvas with this mini jar, where a gnarled pine tree spreads above rocks and drifting mist. In Chinese art the pine signals endurance, giving the small jar a quieter, more scholarly character than the flowers that dominate most chinoiserie decor. Compact and easy to place, it fits a nightstand, a desk corner or a floating shelf, making it useful shelf decor where a full size piece would crowd. Grouped in a trio, the jars build a quiet vignette. High fire porcelain and hand applied blue white cobalt give it a hard glossy glaze and a small individual variation in every stroke. Remove the cover and it serves as a bud vase, or keep it closed as a ginger jar for rings and keepsakes, an easy gift idea for anyone drawn to asian decor.

Lisa. Buford, GA. Sat Mar 15 2025

The Blue And White Mini Jar Double Happiness from Legend of Asia carries the traditional Chinese emblem of marriage, painted in bold cobalt across the front and back of a rounded, compact body. Each character is hand painted freehand onto high fire porcelain, so the blue white strokes keep the pressure and pace of the brush and no two jars match exactly. Fired dense and sealed against moisture, this mini jar is waterproof and weather resistant, with a fitted lid and rounded shoulder in the classic ginger jar tradition. Its petite scale makes it easy shelf decor for a nightstand, windowsill or bar cart, and a charming home accent tucked between books. Above all it is a meaningful wedding gift and a bright piece of chinoiserie decor and asian decor.

Love this jar. Exactly as pictured. Shipped perfectly.. Sarah. Wellesley, MA. Tue Feb 13 2024

Boys at play around a kyrin, the mythical beast that traditionally signals good fortune, wrap the body of this small covered jar from Legend of Asia. The scene is painted freehand in cobalt at a very small scale, so every mini jar differs slightly in the tilt of a face or the sweep of a mane, and that hand work separates it from printed blue white giftware. Shaped and high fired in southern China, the porcelain jar has a dense body under a smooth clear glaze that keeps the pattern sharp. Petite and easy to tuck in, this ginger jar suits a desk corner, bath tray or narrow bookshelf as shelf decor, and the small jar works as a jewelry keeper or an entry into temple jar collecting, chinoiserie decor, asian decor and blue and white home decor.

This one is beautiful too!!. Kellye Marker. Henrico, VA. Sun Mar 31 2024

Large Oriental porcelain temple jar finished with a unique white scaled design. Display in matched pairs on a hearth, breakfront, credenza, or alone on a pedestal or plant stand. The lids are removable, great for storing collections of small objects. A wonderful accent piece to complement traditional or modern home decor styles.

There are obvious seams in the jar otherwise the quality seems nice. Anonymous. Sun Mar 01 2026

Children play beneath a spreading tree around the body of this tiny jar, a folk scene painted in loose cobalt strokes that gives the piece real warmth. Legend of Asia keeps the mini jar small enough to tuck onto a desk corner, a window ledge or a bathroom shelf where nothing larger would fit. Painting a narrative scene on a small jar takes more brush control than a repeating pattern, and that effort shows in the faces and branches. The porcelain jar is hand shaped and high fired in southern China until hard and water resistant, with slight differences in the blue white tone from piece to piece. Use the lidded jar as desk decor for clips and rings, as accent decor in a group, or as a gift; classic chinoiserie decor, honest asian decor, and a proper ginger jar profile.

Ceramic Chinoiserie Ginger/Temple Jar Gloss Blue&White-18.00"H

Blue & White Lion Hexagonal Tea Jar.

Wonderful jar. Julie. Seneca, SC. Thu Aug 26 2021

Two elephant-nose handles curl from the shoulder of this Legend of Asia flower jar, framing a painted scene in which a long-tailed pheasant moves through open peony blooms. The pheasant motif is a traditional emblem of beauty and good fortune, and it is hand painted in layered cobalt before the glaze is applied. Generously proportioned, the temple jar anchors a console, dining table or bookcase as accent decor on its own, and a handled jar at this scale is uncommon. The porcelain jar is high fired in the southern Chinese town where porcelain began, leaving a dense, water resistant body suited to indoor rooms or covered patios. Slight variation in shape and finish is part of handmade asian decor, and the blue white palette makes it natural chinoiserie decor.

This is beautiful!. Stephanie. Duncan, OK. Mon Dec 29 2025

Imported Oriental vase jar in a classic shape, with a modern solid white glaze. Display in matched pairs on a breakfront, sofa table, or credenza, or individually on a plant stand, decorative base, or lacquered pedestal.

A perfect porcelain ginger jar for any space! Love this purchase!. Rachel. Baton Rouge, LA. Tue Nov 21 2023

The tai chi symbol at the center of this lidded jar gives it a calm, centered quality that suits meditation corners and modern living rooms alike. Legend of Asia sources the piece from the small southern Chinese town where porcelain was invented, and every surface is hand painted before a high-temperature firing seals the blue white glaze. Neatly proportioned, the temple jar is scaled for shelf decor, a bath counter, or a nightstand where a full-size vase would overwhelm. The porcelain jar body is water resistant and weatherproof, so it can move to a covered porch without worry. Minor variation in shape and finish is part of the handwork. As chinoiserie decor it layers well with pattern; as asian decor it stands cleanly on its own, and the ginger jar lid lifts for small keepsakes.

Blue and White Mountain Village Lantern Jar.

Sara. Washington, Dc. Thu Nov 06 2025

Foo lions tumble around the body of this small Ming-style jar, painted in loose cobalt strokes that keep the guardians looking more playful than fierce. Legend of Asia finishes the ming jar with a deliberate aged treatment, so the glaze carries the soft wear of a piece that has been handed down rather than bought new, giving it the character of a genuine vintage jar. Compact and rounded, this temple jar is scaled for a bookshelf, entry table or bath counter, working as accent decor beside lamps and stacked books. The porcelain jar is hand shaped, hand painted and high fired for a dense, water resistant body. The lion motif and blue white palette make it easy chinoiserie decor, and it pairs naturally with a taller ginger jar or other asian decor.

Blue & White Hexagonal Flower Bird Tea Jar.

This was a gift for my daughter...she loved it! She understood it was a copy of an antique, and she loved how big this piece is!. Jaylyn. Bedminster, NJ. Fri Aug 02 2019

Everything about the full-size original is here, just smaller: blossoms and trailing vines painted in cobalt, a rounded shoulder, and a tiny finial-topped lid. Legend of Asia keeps this mini jar to 7 in H, which makes it useful where a full ginger jar would never fit, on a nightstand, a desk corner or a narrow window ledge. Painting at this scale is demanding work, and the fineness of the line is what separates a hand-decorated small jar from a printed one. The porcelain jar is high fired in southern China for a hard, water resistant glaze, with slight differences in the blue white tone from piece to piece. Use the lidded jar as shelf decor between books, as accent decor in a trio, or as a small gift; classic chinoiserie decor and durable asian decor.

this is an exquisite "antique" ginger jar. it is nicer than what is pictured. looks great with our other Chinese ceramic blue and white collection. Steve. Palm Springs, CA. Fri May 03 2024
