The Artist, D’Alessandro Leon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.

Well…ignoring the fact that I need to adjust the spacing between frames this is a really beautiful set. I bought this for a community clubhouse. I needed something that was neutral, lightweight and large. We had the challenge of trying to hang something over a bulletin board. The goal was to be able to cover the bulletin board during private events. This ended up working really well for my needs. I was able to install brackets above the bulletin board that the frame can sit on and be removed quickly. This is a great piece, for a great price. The picture is very pretty. My only complaint is that the canvas had a crease mark down the middle and diagonally across the canvas. Rather than sending it back I ironed the back side of the canvas and was able to get most of the creases out. Lovely little painting! It is very lightweight but looks substantial. Be aware it arrives with cardboard corners stapled onto the 4 corners. To fully remove the staples you will need a screwdriver andor needle nose pliers. The mounting hardware, including a bracket to put on the frame, come separate and must be installed before you can hang it. The print is smooth, not a giclee, but is printed to look 3-dimensional.
