Decent construction with a sturdy, solid-wood frame. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it didn’t arrive ready to hang—I had to install the eyelets and add picture wire myself. Overall, I’m pleased with it.. Erica. Wilmington, NC. Sat Sep 05 2026

Absolute Beauty,Love this picture. Julie. Camden, NY. Mon Jul 13 2026

Claude Monet once remarked, "One instant, one aspect of nature contains it all". In this artwork, he defied convention by eliminating the horizon line entirely. Instead, he gazed downward, fixating on the pond's surface. Here, a medley of plants drifts amidst reflections of the sky and trees, giving rise to the illusion of a horizontal plane within a vertical canvas.

Really well made not sure if it’s worth the high price but very intricate.. Anonymous. Mon Oct 05 2026

Ignored by the establishment, a group of renegade painters set up their own independent exhibition in the spare room of a photographer's studio. In Paris, in 1874 the city was busy recovering from the bloodshed of the Franco-Prussian war and the proletarian revolution known as the Paris Commune. Bourgeois stoicism was back in fashion and the paintings of Claude Monet were not to one art critic's taste. Louis Leroy, upon passing the artist's small-scale canvas titled "Sunrise Impression" stated scathingly: "A preliminary drawing for a wallpaper pattern is more highly finished than this seascape... It is no more than an impression." Quickly hijacking the phrase intended to satirize their works, the loose group of independent artists began referring to themselves as the 'Impressionists'. History proved Leroy wrong, and the work of the Impressionists now reigns as the most beloved and agreeable in the history of painting. That the origins of the movement caused so much controversy is often rather hard to fathom, but it is important to remember that the stunning ingenuity of Monet's idiosyncratic style effectively swept away over a century of rigid Academic conservatism. By painting the effects of light rather than the forms usually depicted, Monet's "Sunrise Impression" captures the transitory essence of light upon surfaces - the essential ingredients of human vision. By adding a dab here and a dab there as the light changed, the artist depicted the temporal shift of the day, creating art that is both organic and ephemeral. This quiet riot on canvas can be seen as a visual manifesto for the style that would take the Parisian art world by storm.

Stunning picture, well made. Geralyn. Port Charlotte, FL. Thu Jun 10 2021

Monet planted gardens wherever he lived and in his rented home in Vetheuil, he made arrangements with the landlord to landscape the terraces that led to the Seine. On the path, brilliant sunlight and dappled shade briefly reflect the faces of Monet's young son and members of his extended household amidst the large flowerpots the artist took to each home in which he ever lived. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. With bas-relief organic styling, the multi-tiered, replica European style 3.25" wide frame is cast in quality designer resin and highlighted with an aged gold-toned finish. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

Omgosh this master piece of Claude Monet Matted Framed was beautiful and brilliant work . This is the highlight of our room between living room and dining room.. Andree. US. Fri Jun 05 2026

This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features an abstract view of the horizon over a large body of water. Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to Plein-air landscape painting. The term 'impressionism' is derived from the title of his painting, 'Impression, Sunrise' (Impression, Soleil Levant).

I was so happy when this picture arrived, ready-framed, and with such lovely pastel colors. I chose the frame in brown wood as opposed to black, because it is a less harsh contrast. It is a picture I use in the bathroom. The colors are such, that they will go with any hand-towel that I place beneath them When you look at the picture close up, you can see the individual pencil/pastel marks that were originally made. I like it so much. Pros: Arrived safely and well-packaged. Carol Pickles. Kalamazoo, MI. Fri Jan 01 2016

Monet's mastery of color and light is so precise that one not only sees, but also seems to 'hear' his work. The light filtering through the poplar trees envelopes the woman and her parasol as a dog romps through the poppy fields around her. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375" wide, European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image.
