Both of these exquisite enamel eggs are skillfully rendered in the style made famous by the House of Romanov's imperial jeweler for Russian nobility. A wax sculpture is made and cast in pewter using the ancient lost wax method. Then the brilliant purple and green enamel, faux jewels and tiny embellishments are added, giving these quality works of art their imitable character and ornamentation.
