It has a large capacity. I was worried that it wouldn’t hold as much as my prior front loaders, LG mega capacity. I was happily mistaken. And the footprint is smaller! This set holds everything I washed before and it’s more efficient. Washes & dries quickly, without damaging on the AI cycles. I love all the preset options and the auto soap and softener dispensers. I love this tower! Moved laundry to the first floor from the basement in a 100yo home. They nicely fit into a closet and are quiet and very efficient. Only 2 tbs of detergent needed, if you use too much you’ll get a notification for the app. Oh that’s great too, the app also alerts you when the washer and dryer are done or if there are any problems. Make sure they are properly installed, the dryer needs to have drainage. The guy who installed mine hadn’t installed an electric heat pump dryer yet and didn’t realize which led to a build up of water in the washer pan and the clothes would be damp. I've had this for about two months--although it hasn't been installed that long. It seems to work beautifully, has lots of options for heat, spin, sanitize--anything you could possibly want. No complaints at all! If I had just replaced a former unit, this would have been a breeze, and probably the installation would have been a snap! But if you, like me, are installing ANY unit in a new location in your house, beware of steep learning curve! In my case: re-routing of HVAC register & ductwork, new electric lines with permits, new plumbing lines connecting to maze of existing plumbing lines, with outdoor dryer venting connecting to--what? Well it was not simple! And, all the work with several different contractors cost at least three times what the unit itself did, in the end. $$$$! On the positive side, I now have exactly what I wanted, and it all works perfectly, giving me the flexibility I craved. I read lots of reviews, and this stackable seemed best.. Kate. Maryland. I've had this unit for a year now and can attest to its reliability and performance. My condo has a small laundry closet and this is the only front-loading LG model that would fit. It is quiet and most of my laundry comes out clean and ready for the dryer. I find that the dryer actually works comparably to a vented dryer and it is easier on my clothes. My condo association discourages ventless dryers because of its prior experiences with water damage from leaks into other units which are not as much of an issue with the newer ventless technology. I love that I don't have to worry about pulling the unit out of the closet to periodically clean the dryer vent. My only issue is that sometimes laundry will come out with dry streaks indicating that the wash cycle was somehow not fully soaked the garments, even when stacked in the drum according to the manual. Honestly, it saves a lot of time because I don’t have to move clothes from the washer to the dryer. I simply load the clothes, and when the cycle is done, everything comes out clean and dry, ready to put away. I’ve also noticed that it optimizes detergent really well, so I end up using much less soap. As far as energy usage, my electric bill hasn’t really been affected like I expected, especially compared to having a traditional 220V dryer. I vented the unit because several previously had stated venting helped dry faster. After speaking with manufacturer support I was able to have a better experience with this unit.
