Michael Cross has developed a completely abstract painting style where the forms and movement experienced in nature translate into paintings with an overall atmospheric effect, with a sense of underlying structures in his work that hint at the influence of engineering training from the artist's past. Cross has, for the past 20 years, been able to pursue his painting career full time and has been included in many juried exhibits, winning various awards, as well as serving on Public Art Selection Panels. He lives and works in Mesquite, Texas.
