Microfiber Down Comforters & Duvet Inserts

This duvet is made with soft, plush microfiber fill, a high quality polyester that's meant to mimic the softness of down. The shell is soft 300 thread count cotton.Microfiber doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so microfiber duvets are heavier weight. A fair bit of fill is required to achieve the desired warmth. One benefit of a synthetic duvet is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. Natural down and feather are sensitive to moisture, but polyester is not!

Good quality fabric. Plump duvet, good weight. Does the job in cold weather. Pleased with this purchase.. Korinne. NS. Mon Jan 27 2025

Ideal for those with allergies, this down-alternative design is made from hypoallergenic microfiber polyester that won't cause sneezing or irritate the skin. A baffle-box construction allows for an even distribution of fill, so that this piece is equally warm all over without bunching. It's an all-season design that can be used year-round. And a neutral white hue means it effortlessly blends with any cover without showing through. It's even machine-washable for quick and easy cleaning – and it's perfect for any bedroom.

I have never owned a duvet, always just comforters. This is wonderfully soft and pretty light weight but kept me comfortable all night. I wasn’t too hot or too cold…just right. The duvet cover I bought had ties for the top bottom and sides, but the insert only has loops on the corners. Being a king size I wish it had more loops but as of right now it has worked nicely..
