The framework itself was beautiful when you opened it up. The only thing you had to do was attached to legs. As far as working it operates beautifully. We love it since the day we put it in we went with a 14 inch mattress on top of it because we wanted a little bit more cushion with the foam and it raised the bed up about 2 1/2 inches so it was easier for us at our age to slide out of bed instead of sitting up and standing up overall very good quality for the purchase. My husband and I love love love this bed. It makes it so easy to our clean sheets on when making the bed. The size is perfect and it’s very sturdy. I bought this bed as my 90 year old father moved in with us full time. It is PERFECT for his needs and he loves the comfort of it. I used his new mattress from a "split king" we had and the mattress fits perfectly. Love that this came in an "twin XL" option as he is 6' 1" tall, so this was a must! The assembly was about 1 hour with two people, and required some thought process. Please note it will take some patience and well worth it!. Laura. Denver, CO. Fri Nov 01 2024
