I am an atheltic/active preson but was having neck issues. I went to the Wayfair store and tested this pillow based on the sales persons suggestions on my needs, shoulder size and side sleeping. Now that I removed 1/3 of the foam they are great pillows. They come very stiff and the manufacturer recommends you remove/adjust the filling to suit your needs. Be sure to run them in the dryer for 20 minutes to "fluff" them up. The original pillow with all it's stuffing make for a great additional firm pillow/backrest.
