The duvet without the insert looks just fine for me and I'm hoping it's not too heavy but since I live in the north I think it'll be just right. I also feel that since my bed is a queen I would have liked this duvet to be a little bit larger for more of an overhang, I should have ordered a king size just for the extra overhang.. Looks better in-person! Makes for a great visual break up. During my initial experience, the texture softens quickly with wash and wear but does not lose its textural integrity (it doesnt get fuzzy). It is not very breathable and took some adjustment for both me and my thermostat. The one in the photo is the queen-size option with pillow cases included (my favorite part). For the oversized look in the product photos you should be going up a size meaning I should have invested in a king-size duvet first. When I do, Ill be ordering my duvet cover from MooMee again!
