The colors are perfect- better than I had hoped for, as is the texture. I washed on arrival, and the only disappointment is that the buttonholes were slightly frayed, more so after the dryer. It does come with 2 pillow shams, king size as I got the king size duvet and cover. It is very soft and you can certainly use the pillow case unlike normal shams. The fabric is pretty and soft, I do wish the pattern went the other way, it doesn’t work on the bed turned with the stripes vertical, which is how I think it should go. I do still like it though,. I was able to put this on my king size duvet with very little trouble. It has ties in the corners and big buttons that are snug but will hopefully keep the duvet in place. The white background is bright and the colors pop. Extremely soft and comfortable, perfect for a cold winter's night. Haven't yet laundered so I can't speak to that, but I am loving it so far!.
