I can't attest to how well it holds up as I've only had it for 2 weeks and it has not been put in washer or dryer but so far so good. I will say as a normal thickness for a comforter it has kept me very warm without being too heavy. And it was just as I was looking for something simple with not a whole lot of pattern going on. The pattern is very faint. It's especially difficult to see this on the white side with grey detail with a glare from my window but this is a reversible comforter.
