Have this for about 15 months. Using Barkeepers for stainless steel to clean but over time, some spills have become impossible to remove. Any recommendations on other acceptable safe cleaners? I have black stainless steel. The cooktop works well. Too bad the hortizontal piece on which the knobs sit become very hot when the stove is in use. Need to be careful. Despite manual specifying what size of pots/pans should be used on which burners, I've been able to have at least 3 large pots/pans all cooking at once.. Visionquest1928. Southern California. It makes accidentally turning on burners easy if you're not paying attention or have small, curious children. So when I saw this on Wayfair, I thought I could upgrade my gas cooktop with a newer one, as the dimensions were the same as my old gas cooktop. It arrives and I was surprised that the quality was better than my old one by a little bit. The strikers that ignite the fire were a bit larger and shouldn’t have issues if they get dirty. Overall it is a good cooktop. Unfortunately, the underside of the cooktop is much wider than my old one, so I can’t replace it in my kitchen as the wood underneath the cooktop I have now is too narrow. I will be using this Gas Cooktop indoors. I very much like it because it fits exactly where I am using it. However, the rubber hose with clamp attachments for accessing the propane line are not safe for indoors. My gas installation people will properly attach it with metal to the profane line. This is a great looking cooktop! We are just not sure about the knobs. There is a stainless steel ring around the knobs that is bigger than the know itself so food or grease can get between It will be interesting to try to clean. The cast iron pot rests are beautiful and well made. The aesthetic of this piece is great. Not 100% sure about performance. We have a gas smell the plumber has been out twice and says it is coming from the knobs. Wayfair is working with Zine and there is a one year warranty so I am certain we can resolve this.. Betsy. CO. Isn't porcelain some type of ceramic? I wonder how they turn it into a surface layering for this stove. I think they did a great job. The burners are also pretty solid. Cast iron grate seems hard-wearing. The grates on my old range eventually began to rust, which I doubt would happen to the grates on this one. But, I think it's too black, but that's just me.
