Replaced 12 year old GE convection that kept blowing cooktop bulbs. Simple install, similar controls as my older version, sans convection that I don’t think I ever used. We followed the instructions to install, and then figure out that it would have fit exactly into the old frame, so wasted about an hour removing the old wall connections…. Great having a dial to easily add seconds, or can just hit 30 second button a few times. LOVE the pull out vent that covers the entire cook surface! Happy with this microwave so far, it has great features for cooking and reheating, love the auto sensor features. The light and fan go on automatically when I turn on my GE cooktop, this is a pretty cool high-end feature usually found in Bosch range/hood combinations. Chef Connect feature makes syncing super easy never had issues with it even after power outages. We have our microwave vented to outside and it's very powerful! We are extremely happy with our latest kitchen addition with our new GE Profile Over-The-Range Microwave that replaced our old & battle tested GE Microwave. The door feels very solid and the installation of the unit was quick and easy, also feeling very solid with zero "wiggle" when opening. Capacity is excellent and honestly the biggest challenge, through no fault of GE, is getting used to the new controls and options that are available with this updated Microwave. Like anything it takes a little getting used to as we had our previous one for 5+ years (inherited when we bought the house). Oven is fine and works well. Well pleased with all aspects except two. During operation this oven, which replaced a 12 year old GE, is noticeably louder.
