Used this today for the first time. I never used one before. Takes getting use to but works great. Cooked my sons burgers well. You must center the pan on the unit first, otherwise it will display a u like symbol and turn off. So make sure magnetic pan is on the unit and then power on. Also I love the H it displays when cooling off to let you know the unit is still Hot. I purchased out of laziness. Tired of cleaning the entire stove just to make burgers or whatever...lol. its easier to wipe down the counter and clean the unit. I am so happy. I bought the CASAINC Ge Natural Gas w/5 Burners. It’s roomy enough to use with different pot sizes without having them hitting against each other. It’s easy to clean and very efficient in cooking. I also bought the 900 CFM Ducted Under Cabinet Range Hood which I live also. If you are on the fence about switching to induction and aren't quite ready to fully commit, I highly recommend a hybrid setup like this. I paired this 30" unit with a gas burner next to it, and it's the perfect size to get you used to this new way of cooking. Honestly though, induction has become so fast and precise that I’m not even sure how much I’ll actually use the gas burner moving forward. You won't regret making the jump. The touch panel controls do take a little bit of getting used to if you're coming from traditional knobs, but it's a quick adjustment. By far, the absolute best part about it is how easy it is to clean, but I am more cautious with it now just to keep it looking pristine. One piece of advice if you are renovating: Make sure you double-check the depth of the unit before you finalize your cabinets. You will most likely need to cut into the cabinet frame below to make it fit properly. Overall, it's a gorgeous, low-maintenance upgrade.
