Wanted to upgrade our over the stove microwave and found this LG one. I love the slide out vent option. It really does get rid of steam and oil smoke from the front burners. It will help when we change to a gas range and oven. Other reviews stated issues with the side out function. I see no issues with the durability. Just don’t lean on it or put things on it. Power is amazing and food cooks quickly and evenly. Some others disliked that the screen goes blank until you open the door. I don’t notice this as an issue. You have to open the door to put your food in first. The only time it requires opening is to use the timer function. We are very impressed with the look, features, quality and price. I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. It came with nice paper templates that showed you exactly where to mount and drill. Me and a friend installed it in 45 minutes. Works great. No fluff solid ge appliance. I’m happy. James. This microwave is really attractive and looks exactly like it does in the photos. The white and gold finish is beautiful and gives it a much more stylish appearance than a typical microwave. One thing that took some getting used to is the child-safety feature. You have to press the stop/cancel button before opening the door, which feels a little unusual at first. It's not a dealbreaker, just something I wasn't expecting. My only real issue is that it's larger than I pictured. That's completely on me for not paying closer attention to the dimensions before ordering, but it didn't fit the space quite as perfectly as I had hoped. Overall, though, it's a beautiful microwave that looks great, functions well, and matches the product photos accurately. If the size works for your space, I think you'll be very happy with it..
