This convertible stainless hood is a heavy duty insert and works as intended. The vent is fully operational with different settings, lights work well, functionality is on point. Took a star away though because of packing - insert has a ton of scratches on the face and sides that were sustained prior to packing.

This insert range hood has a powerful 900 CFM motor to extract cooking fumes. You will need to build a frame to mount the range hood. It has touch control AND motion control which is great for hands free functioning while cooking. The control panel is underneath (see photos) and not on front which I love for the design aspect of it. The controls on range hoods are never glamorous and with this hoods design, you don't see the controls when you look directly at the front of the range hood enclosure. Since we are building a tile surround around the vent hood for our new kitchen, this is an important detail. It also has an automatic timed delay shut off to make sure that any lingering fumes are exhausted out. The exhaust system can be either directly vented outside or indirectly recirculated through carbon filters depending on your particular kitchen situation.
