These seem to be well cushioned. They were easy to put together without lugging out the tool box. The allen wrench that comes with it is the only tool needed. When the box arrived, it didn't look like 1 stool( in it's entirety )could possibly be in there . It is just a testament of how well boxed it all was. The base was all wrapped and cushioned, the hardware came in a carboard envelope, so as not to scratch or dent any component of the set. box Best of all, these adjustable, versatile stools are priced so affordably that they would have been a steal, compared to others. I had to buy so many items off line, to replace items lost in a natural disaster, and I had no idea what items are actually valued at. I have found way fair to be a great site to find amazing buys. As heartbreaking as this whole process has been (and still is!)
