As mentioned in other reviews, the assembly is not easy. The directions consist of pictures of exploded diagrams of various stages with no words, so you have to be really good at looking at the pictures and making sure your pieces are facing the correct direction, the correct side, etc. Double check to avoid having to deconstruct and reconstruct! You definitely need at least two people to assemble this, and you definitely need a drill to do the screwing and some of the drilling that is required. And even better if both of the people have drills! Theres no way you can hand screw this thing unless you have weeks and weeks. Speaking of time, it took us a total of about 12 hours. And my husband is a woodworker and builds things on the regular, so thatll give you some context. What worked for us was to initially take all of the pieces out of the three boxes and place in piles according to their letter and number designation. We did find a couple of pieces that did not have markings and also a couple that were mis-marked, but we could figure out what piece they were supposed to be. There is an annoying white warning sticker on the face of the bed that is really difficult to get off. Also, the brackets to secure to the wall are kind of an eyesore inside of the bed frame.
