Victorian Handcrafted tiffany style pendant light, Stained glass dining room light lampshade is slight heavy than you expected, as it is made of real stained glass. But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. Easy to Check it.
I love the pattern and clean lines of this lamp. The brown, green, and orange colors go well in almost every setting. And the workmanship is exceptionally good. I only question whether it is really glass, however. A small sample of glass is included with the shade, to try and prove that the shade is really stained glass. The sample does not exactly match the shade’s glass. Also, I have another 14” shade like this one, but from a different manufacturer. The other shade admits to being high quality plastic that looks like glass. But the two shades weigh about the same. A real glass lampshade would weigh much more than a plastic one. Nevertheless, this shade looks like glass, and even the different textures are present. It is lovely when hanging and I guess that is what's important.. Janice. Durant, OK. Sun Jan 25 2026
