Summit's smooth-top radiant cooktop offers an easy-to-clean design with a modern style built for smaller kitchen spaces. The 12" Electric Cooktop with 2 Burner is a radiant cooktop designed to fit popular 10 counter cutouts. The surface is made from smooth Schott ceramic glass for a durable, modern look. This unit does not ship with a power cord and must be hard-wired by a professional. 2 Burners each feature 1200W operation to cover all cooking needs except baking. The digital touch controls are located in the front for easier accessibility, preventing users from reaching over hot burners to make adjustments. Nine power levels provide true cooking versatility, with a digital display that makes it easy to read and manage the settings at the touch of a button. This unit also includes a timer function that lets you program a power level and cook time (up to 99 minutes). The burner turns off automatically when the cooking duration has finished. Safety features include a child lock function, automatic shutoff, and residual heat indicators for both elements. Its attractive design, ideal size, and intuitive touch controls bring a user-friendly cooking performance with reliable safety to small kitchen spaces.
October 2021 - Used with enamelled cast iron pan (probably not recommended) for a brunch and it worked very well. Just need to get used to icons!!!
Dec 2020 - UPDATE: Still have not moved in so have not been using unit.
Contractor did a little work a short while back and when I checked on the unit, the large burner did not heat up. Contractor determined mother board was bad. Manufacturer Summit warranty begins at date of purchase; mine was installed 10 months later; of course, October 2020 is WAYYY outside warranty, and Summit will not address or repair, even if I return it to them. I understand, but this is lousy customer service. I will pursue, but if you don't install immediately upon purchase, beware. Very disappointed. FOLLOW UP: Finally got this little unit installed and it is great! This is going to complement my antique wood and gas stove in my new kitchen, as I normally don't cook on gas. Thanks!. Terrie.
