This patio lock is made well. I wish I could install it, but my new apartment complex will not allow me to drill into the frame. I will be giving this to my sister to use on her patio door. I will say it is very well made. The locking peg is sturdy and long, so it will secure the door when I stalled. This lock is constructed from diecast and comes in a painted aluminum color. The 1-1/2 in. throw bolt may be manually or key locked. Helps to prevent forced entry and may be locked in ventilating position. Can be used on patio doors, sheds, and utility doors to help prevent a forced entry. May also be mounted in a ventilating position and keep the door secure.

Works really well. We have used them all over the house over the years. One caveat: it may happen that the spring gets misaligned, which makes it hard to close the lock without manually adjusting the spring.
