I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. One of my favorite features is the exhaust mode, which does an excellent job of pulling hot, stale air out of the house, especially after a warm day or when cooking. The low-profile design fits nicely in the window without being bulky or obstructing the view. It was easy to install, and the controls are straightforward to use. The fan moves a surprising amount of air for its size and helps create a refreshing breeze throughout the house when paired with an open window on the opposite side. This is a great little fan purchased for kids sleepaway camp. There was an unexpected clip underneath which is great because that allows for two different ways to attach it depending on your needs. Portable Electric Fan

The fans ( I ordered 3) are a substitute for the original that I had ordered. Double fans are quiet and reversable and can have them each go a different direction. The remote is a nice bonus, and this was the back order sub, as the one I picked out had no remoted, and they are very quiet. The sides are helpful to keep the sun out. The only thing it took a long time to get here ( back-ordered) is why it lost a star.....one is in the kitchen to remove kitchen cooking smells and bring in fresh air.. Anonymous. Fri Jun 19 2026
