This light is bright at night. Because the light comes with an option of 3 different size bases, it just twist on to the base. We thought that was a little insecure so we glued the 2 pieces together. I like the solar post caps overall...just deducting one star regarding two items I would like to see improved on in the future developments... The light output through the stained glass could perhaps be just a bit brighter...or more of a cooler "daylight" output on the spectrum...and the assembly quality of the screws interferes with me being able to twist and lock the cap to the post adapter.
