The final product is fine but the assembly was difficult. One of the sides of the bed would not fit with the hardware that came. Also the directions had the bed sides assembled in reverse so we had to take apart and reassemble. Luckily after assembling many pieces I was able to figure out the issue. The slats needed to be screwed in on both side as well as the middle and the wood is cheap. They had warped probably due to the heat in transit so we had the really force them to be able to screw them in. I prefer slats I have had in the past on velcro that attach easily. The other issue is that I called to see the height of the mattress and was told by Wayfair that up to 14 inches was good so that is what I ordered. Well its too high so the mattress does not fit under the padded headboard and will now not sit into the bed frame. Jeez~! I will be letting Wayfair know that the max should be 12inches and this needs to be on the description of the product.. Michele. Midway, UT. Tue Aug 04 2026
