I bought this pan for my mother. She can't handle the weight of cast iron, and her steel pans perform poorly. I read reviews of several carbon steel pans, and the OXO 10" was the obvious choice. It weighs only 2.6 pounds, and gets high marks for its sloped sides, large cooking surface, non-stick performance, and cool, comfortable handle.
