I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. My bad assuming that it was an option that you had to pick and/or opt-in to when buying. While convenient, I think it takes away from the natural beauty of the desk. This is one product/company review that I was excited to post. I ordered the Cendrillon L-Shape Desk along with the 1-Drawer Storage and 2-Drawer Storage Cabinets. I am very happy with the quality and style of this wedge corner desk. The furniture is very well made and looks great - exactly what I wanted. Five stars for Wayfair on speed of delivery and customer service. The shipping estimate I received from several furniture stores for these pieces was 10-12 weeks. I found this set on Wayfair and it was delivered in 5 days! One of the cabinets was damaged upon arrival, and Wayfair is replacing this item at no charge ... and I do not have to return it. This was such a pleasant surprise! The cabinet is heavy and repacking and shipping it back would have been very difficult for me. “Modern luxury” is absolutely correct. It is beautiful. Everyone who comes into my office compliments it. They usually come up and run their hand over the top, it looks and feels wonderful. This desk is very solid and heavy. It assembled relatively easily. The drawers came assembled which is great. The only difficulty in assembly was aligning holes that cannot be seen easily. One very nice feature that was not explained in the description is that the drawers and slanted leg can be reversed so you can orient the slanted leg on either side of that matters in your particular set up.. Ordered 2 at once. One arrived from New Jersey (?) in perfect condition, but the second shipped from TX never arrived. Customer service has been perfectly helpful for all FIVE (?) calls. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Love the two working ones and recommend 100%... again, if not arriving from Texas! I'm sharing damaged photos of last one sent, but not of two we kept, b/c they fit description perfectly.. Christina.
