Can't compare feel of it because I've never done a floor like this before but floor does feel good under foot. Only con is it is not very flexible and it cracks when trying to bend and squeeze it into tight areas, more like a dry foam than rubber, but that could be the nature of all underlayments. So we tried the floor muffler as the underlayment under floating engineered wood and laminate floors. the first time we did it, we conducted a sound test and were amazed at how well it worked. It doesn't eliminate sound completely, but it's a pretty significant drop. Allthought the underlayment was not the brand Quick-Step, it performed to what I expected. Purchased 3 rolls on the 1st order & anothher 2 on the 2nd. Will be purchasing more in the distant future.
