The product is comparable to mahogony shoe racks that I saw in a very high end designer catalogue. The "designer" shoe racks were actual furnitue and came assembled. However, my recollection is thay cost hundreds of dollars more. The shoe racks from accent furnitue look similar, are the same dimensions and cost a fraction of the price of the "designer" racks. Since I don't need designer furniture shoe racks in my closet, the Accent Furnitue shoe racks are more than sufficient. They did require some assembly but after the first rack, everything went smoothly. I purchased three sets (each set is two racks that stack). The accent Furnitue racks are also versitile in that they can be stacked three or four (or whatever) high depending on available space. My closet and master bedroom is much neater since all those shoes that were laying around (especially my wife's shoes) no longer pose a tripping hazzard."..."  Read more

The product was easy to install ...though my first conception at looking at the unassembled pieces was ... this may not be strong enough to hold 50 pairs of shoes... but, I was wrong. I fitted the whole shoe rack in less than 15 minutes exactly as per the instructions. please do not try to fit with ur hands. Muscle power won't work. Use Hammer and a firm floor as mentioned and it really comes up well. Lots of storage space. If you are a woman with shoe size upto 7 or 7.5 and if u arrange shoe pairs alternatively ... one rack easily holds 6 pairs instead of 5. I was amazed that even took the weight of my husbands steel toe engineering boots. I must say I did not regret a penny spent on this product and besides my shoes are more organized and better adjusted than before. It was not too tedious a job -- once they were all together we stacked them and I have a REAL classy method of STREAMLINE shoe storage.
