Powell Barrier Reef Coat Rack - 659-274

The coat rack is a nice design but a little unsteady. It had to be replaced due to a crack in the base and the second one had a few dings in it. This product was used in an office.

Poor finish and fit on product. I would not recommend making this purchase. Numerous gouges in wood at the base and imperfections in the finish. And, the hooks do not line up well with the holes. Overall - very poor. Try another brand!

Easy to put together and hold all of the coats, hats and dog leash without falling over.

I received the Powell Barrier Reef Coat Rack very quickly, and was impressed that the picture truly represented the product. This was VERY easy to put together. However, the legs aren't quite sturdy enough and it makes the rack a bit unstable. Also, the wood has blemishes that are similar to slivers which makes me concerned for longevity. We have no children in our home so, with a little tender loving care, the rack should work fine for our needs.

I purchased one of these from a competitor on 1128 which should have been shipped by 127. After many inquiries with the competitor from 1210-1220 as to the shipping status, I finally gave up and ordered it from Wayfair from which I received it in less than 5 days and was able to have it in time to give it as a Christmas present. I like the coatrack. I was surprised that the metal hooks at the top are a hammered gold finish. In the picture the hooks looked much darker. I would have preferred darker hooks but once we put it together it was good quality for the price so we decided to keep it.

I have purchased various coat racks over the years, but none have held up to the weight of our familys coats in the past. This rack was easy to build, is attractive, and is very sturdy. I am very happy with this product and would recommend to anyone who is looking for something that has the ability to hang multiple items without fear of toppling over or breaking. Even my teens felt this was an attractive rack!

We were looking for a coat tree that was sturdy and could take a lot of use from a family with 8 kids. This coat tree fits the bill. It's strong and easy to assemble. The base has a small profile (14.5" square) compared to others we've seen but it's been very secure. There's just a bit of movement as the one leg isn't quit level with the other 3 but it's quite minor (it's the reason for the 4 star instead of a 5 star rating). The hooks are fairly high so small children will need help but for our gang that's not a problem.

Delivery was good and that's saying something as we're Canadian and Customs can hold up shipments at the border but this went through quite quickly.

This was a belated Christmas present and when it arrived, we were able to unbox and put it together within about 30 minutes -- we almost discarded some of the pieces with the packaging, but realized it before taking it to the trash. It's a solid piece and much nicer than coat racks I've seen locally. It's a much-used addition to our family room!
