Got this for my husbands sunroom office. The fabric is soft and smooth, although it’s a faux leather it feels like a microsuede. The black is a matte mid black/dark grey versus a dark black. Did quite a bit of research for an ergonomic chair for my home office and finally settled on this one. Easy to put together. I have used it 2 days now and I really like it. This chair is very comfortable. Have been using it for over a year since working from home due to COVID. Using this in my craft room. I absolutely love this chair. It is well built, easy to adjust and comfortable with good back support. But what I love about it the most is the footrest that is always positioned right where you need it no matter what height you adjust it to. The ones that have the adjustable rings don't work that way, and often the footrest doesn't stick out far enough in front of the seat. And the footrest is sturdy enough to put one foot on to help get into the chair.
