Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. This Inbox Zero Lorentz sit‑stand desk showed up in two very heavy boxes (around 90 lbs each), so the delivery alone felt like a mini workout. Building it solo with ADHD took a few hours and a couple of “rewind and fix” moments, but the instructions were clear—I just managed to overlook a few things along the way. Once assembled, the quality really shows. The drawers and cabinet close cleanly, the desk raises and lowers quietly and smoothly, and the larger size gives me plenty of room for both work and gaming. The only confusing part was the wire hiders underneath—usually there are markings for screw placement, but this one had none. I also wish the cabinet had cable holes in the back or middle. I’m very happy with this desk! I’m a fairly tall lady (5’10”) and it gets more than tall enough for me to use while standing. Setup took around 3 hours with 2 people (granted we’re not very building savvy) and instructions were fairly cleareasy to follow. When it came to the “use a box for support” part of the manual, we just used throw pillows and it worked fine. Everything was packaged very thoughtfully and the quality of the desk feels very sturdy.
