Very spacious. I bought a Sunny Designs entertainment center in rustic oak finish at a local store and couldnt match any of the media cabinets in stock locally to it - the oak finishes were always just a little off. So I was delighted to find that Sunny Designs makes media cabinets and bookcases. I tussled with whether to get this one, with the glass that matches my entertainment center, or the media cabinet that has doors that fold out but are opaque. Im glad I got this - its plenty big although for DVDs, CDs, etc. you really have to lay your media down sideways in it because with so few shelves youd waste a lot of vertical space otherwise. We managed to fit about 150 VHSs, 100 CDs, 125 DVDs, 50 45rpm records, and maybe 200 cassette tapes in it."..."  Read more

I ordered two of these and the ordering process was easy. [...]. All parts were present and assembly was super easy (about an hour start to finish). The design and quality of this product is good, having no complaints regarding any issue. I ordered the dark walnut finish and it is very nice, easily blending with black storage cabinets already lining the wall of my den. The cabinets are smaller in size than my other cabinets, but are more stylish and prettier to look at, especially the glass backed doors and pulls. I ordered 2 of these pedestals to hide an evergrowing CD collection that my husband and I have been amassing. We could never seem to find an attractive, neat solution to the hideous wire CD racks that were cluttering the living room and constantly gathering dust. Until we found this beauty. The CD pedestals were well packed and came fully assembled. All we had to do was insert the shelf pins (all included in the packaging) and the shelves and we were done. The pedestals are sturdy and well made. They take up little room and inside there is a wealth of storage where we were able to store all of our CD collection. Highly recommend!"..."  Read more

This is a very nice piece...the nicest pressed-wood / laminate / veneer piece we've come across. We purchased the cabinet(s) for our DVDs, VHSs, and CDs and are very pleased. It took us about 30 minutes to put together one cabinet...including cleaning both sides of the glass. (30 minutes from opening the box(es) to standing it up to put adjustable shelves in...add another 5 to put adjustable shelves in.) Two people are not necessary, but it may help speed the assembly along. One huge pro we liked was that the media cabinet comes in two separate boxes that are "double-boxed". The box you see when it comes to your door is the outer protective shipping box. Inside you'll find 4 thin pressed wood pieces supporting/bracing each side of the box that contains the cabinet. There are also hard plastic pieces on the inner box corners to help protect against damage. We only have two minor cons: The space for DVDs juuust fits...not really any space for the above-average-sized DVD case. (This shouldn't be a deterrent from purchasing...just a little pet peeve of mine because I alphabetize and have several "oddly" sized DVD cases.) The other con is cost. Three hundred twenty dollars is a quite a chunk of change for a pressed-wood media cabinet...at least in our household.
