Product Details

This Rite-Temp pressure-balancing valve works behind the scenes to prevent scalding and freezing for a safe, comfortable water supply. The valve features a high-temperature limit stop and an optimal comfort zone, so you can set a maximum high and then find and maintain your desired water temperature. Additionally, the unit has a diaphragm design that virtually eliminates freeze-ups from contamination and water debris. Universal NPT and direct sweat or CPVC connections need no additional parts for installation.

Homeowner from Boston, MA	5.0 5/23/2012 Use for Parts We have a shower that was installed 9 years ago that the valve started leaking on, apparently Kohler has not changed the design at all because we purchased this and were able to replace the "innards" of our existing valve with the "innards" of this new one and it works perfectly! One thing to pay attention is to use the larger hole in the bottom(bathtub faucet conection) if you are connecting multiple showerheads/sprays in a shower system. This way you will have the necessary water pressure for multiple water outlets. Wayfair sent an incorrect valve but they replaced it with the correct one very fast and the return of the incorrect one was very conveniently handled. Was this helpful? Yes / No

Liz from Boston	3.0 3/14/2011 READ INSTRUCTIONS When installing for a shower only, be sure to read the instructions. Cap the top (!) for a shower only installation. My plumber capped the bottom (which one would think goes to a non-existent tub) and we had to tear out the wall to re-install with the correct capping. YIKES. Was this helpful? Yes / No
