Foremost Modular Storage Open Cube in Espresso - 327609

Product was not in acceptable condition when it arrived... not because of the shipping, but how it was inside the box already. The wood was scratched up all over the place, and thus the color/paint of the wood was different in many places. I bought the espresso color, so when the finishing was scratched off, the espresso turned in to a light purple color. Very noticeable, and very ugly. Also when removing the A, B, C, D stickers on the wood, it ripped the wood color/paint right off too!Not something I would pay [$] for. For $5 yeah it would do, but nothing more. I had bought 6 of these cubes too. But since I dont like dealing with returns and shipping, I'm just keeping it.

The quality of these cubes is extremely low. They are made with cheap core board, and veneered with the thinnest paper veneer. If you put a bunch of stuff on the top, the veneer will easily scratch off. When assembling them, I accidentally took some veneer off just trying to take the stickers off the sides (there are stickers labeling each side for easy assembly). The assembly was easy though. Not all the pieces fit seamlessly together, which is a disappointment. The back of each piece is a thinner wood, and not veneered on the back. Because of this, you cannot turn these cubes around -- the back must be facing a wall. For my purposes, the cubes are sufficient. I'm happy with the cheap price, but not so satisfied with the quality. I doubt they will last long, or last at all with heavy use.
