I was really hesitant to get this because I’m not a fan PVC but it’s so much more resilient than the cotton one I had that got dirty and molded over time. I went with the green that has a bit of a turquoise tint to it and it is still beautiful even though I’m drawn to the more decorative umbrellas that just don’t hold up in the weather. First, I'm grateful that I could find an umbrella that matches the color of my patio chairs--a burgundy wine color. Not an easy thing to find based on my experience. Having said that, I was initially a bit surprised and disappointed that the umbrella fabric was actually a see-through vinyl mesh (see pix). Item arrived in time. Color was lovely. Material appears cheap from the outside but will see how it holds up. Item was ordered with a 100llb base. Base was arrived damaged. The umbrella took well over a month to be delivered, but I imagine they are made after the order is placed and that is the reason for the long delay. And it is very well made! One thing I didn't realize is that this particular umbrella does not have a crank like I have had with previous patio umbrellas to raise the umbrella. I had to get a stepladder and use a lot of strength to lift the umbrella to the desired hole atop the pole and then insert an attached pin through it to keep it up. I live in a desert and yet have never had a crank break, so I am not sure why such an expensive umbrella didn't come with one. While this was not a deal-breaker, climbing up on a stepladder and pulling the umbrella up to a desire level may not be prudent for some customers.. Lor. Palm Desert, CA. Wed Jan 02 2019

This umbrella is very nice with 2 flaws. I am 5’7” and I need a step to put the pin in or take it out. The other thing is it really doesn’t handle the wind all that well. The umbrella either tips the table or the pin comes out causing it to slam shut.. Pat. Kansas City, MO. Sun Sep 06 2020
