We needed 4 counter height stools. We originally ordered one stool of another model to make sure we liked it before we ordered the other 3. We loved it but Wayfair didnt have any more in stock! So this stool was our second choice. We thought that it was adjustable to be either a counter height stool or a bar stool. We have them adjusted to the lowest height and it is OK. I would prefer it to be slightly lower. All in all, we like the stools. The are good looking and the seat is comfortable. The swivel is great. My kids love the chair, so I am keeping the one I bought and you can't beat the price. I only bought one to see if it would work. Wanted something that could be used interchangeably between a regular kitchen height counter and an extra tall counter. We have two different height counters in our basement. Needed something that could be at the 26" height and at a 33" height. The website says the seat goes up to 33" height. Mine was at 31" and when you sit on it, it goes down to 30 inches. I think that drop in height is common for all air lift stools. So, keep that in mind when ordering these and you will be fine. Also, some people complained about the depth of the seat. The seat curves in the front, but at the deepest portion, it is about 16 inches."..." Read more

Our kitchen is very French bistro, but I am modern. the bar stools are shiny, not fit in our kithen well, but it is not the bar stool's fault. I read lots of the reviews, and agree with all. Still 5 stars, the price is a' can't beat'. Good quality, easy assemble. The seats smell a couple of days (I call it 'made in China' smell - they are made in China. Kind of cheap leather or leather like smell. If you have a contemporary kitchen and don't want to spend a lot on bar stools, but need bar stools, this is a great buy."..." Read more

We originally purchased eight of these stools for our recreation room two years ago, and have been pleased enough that now I'm ordering another. I like the fact that the stools are heavy (thus don't tip easily & stay in place unless we want to move them; and kids are less likely to move them around the room); they are very comfortable, with the padded seat & back; have been easy to clean when food has gotten on the fabric (note that ours are black); the foot rest lends itself to comfort in sitting on the stools; the swivel contributes to easier conversations within a group of people; and the adjustable height is nice for people of varying heights. Our guests really like them. One concern: The metal base would very likely quickly ruin our tiled floor where we use the stools. To solve this, I cut round pieces (same size as bottom of base) from an old rug; flipped the stools upside down; and glued the rug pieces to the base using Gorilla glue (woven side of rug facing floor, back side glued to chair). Two years later, we're still pleased with this solution and will use for the new stool. Be aware that kids like to spin around (and around...) on these stools."..." Read more
