We've had these stools about a month, with daily use at the kitchen island by kids and adults. They are wonderful, and we couldn't be happier! Ours are the dark cherry seats and black bases. What we like: - solid build, with thick wood, sturdy legs, and strong plastic floor guards. There's not a wobble in these babies! - quality wood and staining - they swivel, but not willy-nilly; the kids, therefore, aren't constantly spinning and wearing on them, but with a little push, anyone can swivel to get the seating "just right" - comfortable; we weren't sure how comfy wood seats would be with no padding, but these are quite comfortable for the kids, an average size woman, and a big guy - classy look with clean lines, no back to interfere with or bump into the countertop There's simply nothing we don't like! We had some question about the difference between this stool and the higher-priced Holland Misha stool. The Misha has more seating and color options, but after talking with Wayfair, we half expected that the difference was the swivel. This stool mentions warranty info for the swivel mechanim, but neither we nor the Wayfair were sure about that after trying to compare the two. So for the record, this stool *does* swivel 360*. The stools come fully assembled, ready to use right out of the box. All in all, these are classy, well-made stools we would buy again and heartily recommend."..."  Read more

I needed some bar stools for my new island. I like the style of the Saddle Seat bar stools. The stools did come unsassembled, but that wasn't really a problem. The directions wer easy to understand and the bar stools were assembled in less than 30 minutes. I love the color and how nice they look with my island. Like most people I bought one first to check it out, then bought three more. They are not that difficult to put together, but with allen wrenches everything takes a bit longer and power tools wouldn't work as well in this case anyway. They are larger than they appear - the cushion seems to be at least 16" in diameter, but I have not measured it. This extra size makes it feel oh-so-comfy. We bought these to be used at a breakfast bar opposite the kitchen island. When not in use they tuck neatly under the counter so don't really take up that much room. We had thought about getting stools with backs on them, but were glad we didn't since swiveling would cause the back to smash into the counter and we are the kind of people who really like to swivel. I am pretty sure it would be hard to beat these stools in the comfort category. Good height for average size people to just "slide on". The little footies are covered with a plastic coating so they won't scratch wood floors, but just in case we added some of those little sticky pads anyway. We were looking for some rustic style simple stools for the breakfast bar in our eat in kitchen. These are perfect for a counter height bar. We bought a fourth to use at the built in desk in the kitchen because it slides completely under the desk and takes up less room than a traditional chair. One of the four bar stools has a problem with the treading so it doesnt swivel freely like the other three. We are still able to turn it to adjust the height, but it takes some effort. That is our only complaint - other than that they look good and work great for the space."..."  Read more
