Before purchasing this doorbell I searched high and low to find the perfect one. I read a question that asked if the doorbell is lighted and saw the answer was no... which I was happy about. Maybe I’m odd but I don’t like the look of the lighted ones. This doorbell is clearly marked as lighted although does indicate on the box that you must have a transformer for the lighted part to work. The depth of the door bell is much wider where the bell is so you’ll need to drill a hole or ensure you have clearance for that. I had expected to only have to drill the holes for the screws. The doorbell has a good weight to it which is great. It doesn’t seem flimsy although the screws do. This only arrived tonight so I have yet to install. I will have someone install it for me. And will follow up here. (Follow up!) I had someone install the bell. Looks and works great! The installer did opt to use different screws and I'd likely recommend you do the same.. Sarah.
