This sideboard is very low profile. We decided to leave the doors off for now for accessibility reasons, but they look good, regardless. Easy build before I got to the doors. Exactly what I wanted for a wall that separates a kitchen from a living area. Additionally, I needed to access the electrical outlets below so I ordered four accent cabinets and I couldn't be happier with the fit. Two inches on either end, these four units replaced a massive display cabinet and a tall display case and provided a lot more room for storage. Very easy to put together, each cabinet came with extra screws, fittings etc. that I can actually put together a fifth unit if I needed it. Adjustable shelves inside allow for lots of different sized items to store. Love the clean lines and it has a nice MCM look to it and blends nicely with a few of my antique pieces. I selected the color "White Alder" and really like the look. These four pieces make it very easy for me to pull out when I need to access the electrical outlets behind and still have the look of being one solid piece. For pre-fab, ready to assemble, furniture, these cabinets are affordable and have a great look to them. My only issue is that the doors don't always hang cleanly across. I've adjusted them as instructed, in the easy to read directions, but not all doors hang evenly, however, this is something I can live with. Great piece. Assembly took about 75 dedicated minutes. Some of the screw holes in the particle board threatened to strip, so I feel like I need to be extra careful in moving it (it's fairly heavy, so best to lift it with straps from the bottom, rather than find holds near the top of the unit). A compact, clean-lined buffet that blends classic Shaker styling with everyday storage. Finished in a subtle woodgrain, this 31.5" sideboard features a roomy top drawer and a double-door cabinet with an shelf — perfect for linens, dinnerware, media accessories, or entryway clutter. We purchased three oak cabinets to make a buffet. All came in perfect shape due to excellent packaging. Instructions are easy to follow pictures, but we found that putting hinges on panels 2 and 3, right from the start made it easier to put doors on at the end, since it’s hard to screw on when everything is put together. The trick at the end is to make sure the hinges are in closed position then place door holes over hinge, as if the door was completely closed. Then slowly open the door and the hinge will be in correct position to screw the remaining screws on door backside. Also double check that panel 5 is in correct position with locking mechanism near panel 4, otherwise you will have the holes of the mechanism on the top side of the shelf when finished and will have to use oak stickers to cover up the silver hardware. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece—truly more like a piece of artwork than just a cabinet. The detail on the doors is even more beautiful in person photos really don’t do it justice. It feels very sturdy and well made, and there is a surprising amount of storage inside. Ours came preassembled, which was a huge plus. That said, it is quite large and heavy, so I’m very glad I selected in-room delivery. For scale, I’m using this in a 14x14 dining room, and the 72” length fits perfectly centered along one wall without overwhelming the space. I patiently waited 3 months for this sideboard to come back in stock. It was definitely worth the wait as it’s just as beautiful in person as it is online. The fluted doors and travertine top is a one of a kind statement piece. I really wish I didn’t have any cons for this sideboard since I waited so long for it and passed on other sideboards. I got the 3 piece set and when all 3 sideboards are pushed together it doesn’t uniformly look like one sideboard as it does online as you can see the space in between 2 of the sideboards. I tried moving around the order of the sideboards but there is still always 2 of the sideboards that do not join together without any space in-between. Also when the sideboards are pushed as close together as they can be when I open the doors the sideboard starts to move and creates a bigger space between the sideboard adjacent to it & has already chipped a piece of the side off from opening the door. Since this sideboard is advertised and sold as sets of 2, 3 & 4 I would have thought the material would be made to hold up the doors being open near each other. I have provided pictures. Overall with these flaws this sideboard is still a great statement piece for our dining room and worth the price.
