[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Frigidaire 8000 BTU inverter unit came with everything we needed to install—including insulation strips to fill any cracks and blot out any daylight around the unit. I’d never installed a window unit and was a bit worried about the weight, but installation was simple and fast. I wanted something I could plug into a regular US outlet and was happy to find this for the bill perfectly. My husband works nights and sleeps with our bedroom door closed during the day. With a south facing wall and no way to recirculate the air, the room easily got hot and stuffy while the rest of the house was unnecessarily cool. We’ve been able to bump the central air up to a higher temp and save money by using this energy star rated unit to keep the bedroom comfy for sleeping—a bonus we didn’t expect! Remote works great and the lights go off completely when you use the sleep feature (great for when your days and nights are already switched and you need it to be as dark as possible). I do wish you could turn the sleep mode on from the unit vs just the remote and maybe there is a way to do that I haven’t found yet…This AC is working great to keep us cool and keep the humidity down during the worst part of the afternoon here in the hot, humid south. It’s also incredibly quiet with just a low level white noise type effect that’s been great to help with daytime sleeping. It’s just enough to dampen some household noises (with the kids home now that schools out) but not enough to interfere with watching tv in the room to wind down before bed. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this AC to prepare for the Kansas summer and it is perfect for our small bedroom. Love that it connects to WiFi so I can control it from my cellphone and also includes a remote. The unit was easy to install just needed one other person to lift it into the window. It’s so quiet I forget it’s on. It’s done an excellent job of keeping the bedroom nice and cool. I especially love the eco features for energy saving. Will be purchasing another unit for my daughters bedroom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Frigidaire Gallery inverter series A/C is fantastic. The design inside the flaps and filter area is very reminiscent of the Midea U-series, another one of my favorite windows air conditioners. The installation was straightforward with plenty of foam and installation instructions for wood and vinyl windows. If you have installed a traditional window AC in the past, this one should be relatively straightforward. As with any window AC, I recommend buying a separate roll of window trim tape to cover up any small air gaps around the A/C side curtains. Once up in about 30 minutes from unboxing, I turned it on and was surprised as to how quiet it is. I have another inverter A/C as mentioned, but did not expect it to be as quiet due to not having the U design. It regulates well in ECO mode, becoming as quiet as a fan at times. I connected the A/C to my phone, allowing remote access and control from Alexa, which is also a nice touch. The air quality feature is also awesome, but it brings me to my only personal flaw. When the A/C is on, the lights on the unit eventually turn off , but the air quality light just dims ever so slightly. In most environments, this is not a big deal, but as I have it in a bedroom, the green light is bright enough to be bothersome at night. I checked the manual and online, and unless I missed something, I do not believe this can be turned off. As a workaround, I am using a darkening strip over the light. Despite this small flaw, I believe this is one of the best window A/C units in my limited testing so far. As the northeast US has been rainy and mild so far, it has been difficult to get extended usage. Even so, my limited testing aside my small flaw checks all my boxes, including simple design, quiet, cool, and efficient. If Frigidaire could enable a way to fully turn off the air quality light, it would be perfect in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a unit that could cool my kitchen and living room, and was quite hesitant to purchase the air conditioner since it was 8,000 BTU. However, I'm really grateful with my choice! Unboxing the unit was simple with instructions and not many parts needing to be put together - I was thankful. While the unit was a bit heavy for me, which was to be expected, I had my significant other help set up the unit and place it in our window. All of this took less than 30 minutes! Once I turned on the unit, I was greeted with an easy setup process, connecting the unit to my phone over wifi in minutes. The unit is very easy to operate, and its settings are super easy to understand. It gets over 100 degrees in my state, so this was a need! Overall, I am pleased with the unit as it cools in minutes and can be left to operate and function to cool on its own, just like any a/c unit, but the addition is that I can control it away from home! I would recommend the unit to anyone who is looking for a small, efficient and quick cooling solution!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire GHWW085TE1 Inverter Air Conditioner is everything you could ask for in a window AC. Installation was simple and straightforward. At 8,000 BTUs, it's perfectly sized for my bedroom. I’ve never used an AC with inverter technology before, and now I can’t imagine going without it. This unit is incredibly quiet, even on full blast! Also thanks to the inverter, it uses less power than a traditional AC, earning it an Energy Star Most Efficient certification. You can control it from anywhere using the mobile app, but it also comes with a traditional remote, which I appreciate. The built in air quality sensor and indicator light are nice touches that add to the unit’s modern feel. It also has many comfort features I enjoy like sleep mode (which dims the display and automatically adjusts the temperature gradually throughout the night), a swinging louver option (that helps cool my room quicker and more evenly), and an easily washable dust filter (that help keeps the air it cools fresh and clean). I’m struggling to think of anything else this air conditioner could do better. My only critique is that it doesn’t integrate with Apple HomeKit, though it does work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Overall, this is an excellent, well designed, high tech product that I strongly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this window unit air conditioner from Frigidaire. Our old AC unit was super bulky and incredibly loud! It was almost impossible to watch TV without cranking the volume up, and I would always have to choose between keeping the air on or the TV. This unit is a lot quieter and that’s a huge plus for me! I thought that a quieter unit wouldn’t pack as much punch but this window unit has a lot of power! Cools my bedroom down super quick and there hasn’t been any condensation leakage. I also love that it measures air quality! The air quality bar was red when we first got it, but it quickly went to green after about 10 minutes of use. I think it just needed time to adjust. Remote control feature is an added bonus! You can control the AC into with the remote and turn it on and off and increase or decrease the temperature. Filter is easy to access and clean. Super impressed! I recieved this AC unit at a discount from the insiders in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the Quietist AC Ive ever had ! Although If FAN is on AUTO that isnt the Highest setting (fan) it needs to be on the LED that is BEFORE AUTO.... I love the display LED's they are kind of difused and not so bright, which is perfect so they arent blinding. I set it up on the Frigidare APP no problem. Filter is easy to remove and can be cleaned in seconds. Remote (physical) is a Definate nice feature. Overall its a very decent unit especially for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire Gallery 8,000 BTU Inverter Window Room Air Conditioner with Wi-Fi is a powerful unit, efficiently cooling spaces of approximately 300 to 350 square feet. Right out of the box, the manual and paperwork were conveniently placed on top, making setup straightforward. All necessary accessories were easily accessible, and the remote control even came with two AAA batteries-a nice touch. However, I found the remote challenging to use, as pressing buttons often failed to register, even when standing directly in front of the unit. To resolve this, I downloaded the Frigidaire app, which turned out to be the best way to operate the air conditioner. The app includes all essential controls and even allows for customization-like switching the temperature display from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Although removing the unit from its packaging was a bit tricky, I was surprised by how lightweight it felt compared to similar models. Installation was simple, and what impressed me most was the exceptional quietness of this air conditioner. Even at its highest setting, the noise level is minimal, allowing me to watch TV in the living room without needing to adjust the volume. I also love the digital display, which makes checking the temperature and settings effortless. The app further enhances this experience, providing easy access to controls. One unexpected feature was the auto swing louver-it closes when powered off but can be adjusted to circulate air more effectively while running. The filter is easy to access, though I haven't needed to change it yet. Overall, l'm still amazed by how quiet this unit is, and I'm looking forward to installing another one in our family room!
