a little expensive BUT the box DOES seal and is large enough for A4 and most x-rays so I have been able to store my military medical records in my basement - yet I can still access them from time to time without worrying about the documents being comprimised. The big drawback is the plastic is a bit fragile and two of the boxes were damaged in shipping. One never made it to me, the other was damaged when I opened it. So, you MUST be cautious about how AND where you store it as it can be cracked if overloaded or stacked rather than placed on a shelf for storage.

It fits letter-sized (hanging) folders well. The plastic buckle opens counterintuitively (downwards), so you need to make sure you don't break it, because that's the only thing keeping the box tightly closed and portable. You can use a small padlock (not provided) to deter nosy people.

The lid flips open and closed and has a plastic snap lock to keep the lid closed. I did Drop the box twice to see durability and it held up with no cracks or breakage. It fits the standard size file folders if you want to put your stuff in file folders (not included) I have been able to hold a lot of documents and even a couple photos that I don’t want anything to happen too, and it still has plenty of space for me to add even more important documents. It is lightweight and easy to hold, while being empty and it will just depend on how much you add to it how heavy it would be, for me I am able to easily pull it out of my closet anytime I need to get something out of it or add something new to it. I do recommend this box if you are looking for a lightweight, durable, standard plastic file box.

These file boxes are exactly what I needed to organize research materials for a writing project. My recent move has me writing in a more public area of our house and I didn't like the look of plastic file boxes on display. This upgrades the look while keeping me organized.

This was super perfect for our office! Very chic and good quality! We used it to organize our personal files and I though I would need more but it fit every nicely. I will be buying more in the future!

I was looking for a keepsake box to keep my preschooler's art work and this is perfect. It's longer than the standard paper size which is good because the artwork she brings home is never all the same size. I look forward to opening this up when she is older too look back at the art she did when she was young.

I love the John Desktop file box, they are very well made and great for storing documents. Very heavy duty which is what I needed. This is my fifth time ordering them and will continue to do so as needed. They are such a great product that I ordered an extra one just in case. If I need more this is my preference of choice.
