Best Clothes Drying Racks With Reviews

I have been wanting one of these ever since I visited New Zealand years ago where every household in a rural area seems to have one. I myself live in a rural area: VT. We have strong winds and serious winters at our elevation. I've only had this a few weeks, but it was very easy to install, slid right into the post holder and voila! So easy to stand in one place, spin it around to equally load all of our clothes. We have two people in our household and it had lots of room left after hanging two loads on it. Can't wait to hang our linens. We also love the cover it came with, so when we are away or when we want to take it down for the winter, we can store it in our garage without it getting filthy. Makes hanging the laundry very pleasing! Thank you :)

Compact and easy to set up. Set it up in my bathroom only when necessary. Collapsed it fits in front of the wooden fitted racks in my small boiler/airing cupboard just in from the door. Kept the packing with above drawing on, as shown, to fit over top when folded away, this ensures door handle doesn’t catch on its wire racks when opening door. Perfect.

Easy to use, but I have to remember to hold at the bottom as I tend to twist the top off when I move it, causing disruption . . . the twist-to-lock top to bottom isn't very tight, so easily come apart. I have hung two pair of pants on hangers, plus six wet tops on hangers, at one time and it handles the weight without difficulty . I'm glad I bought it.

This is a good drying rack. It came in many pieces and took me a little while to put together. I purchased this drying rack instead of the one I really wanted due to its compact size. The two doors when shut has a gap in the middle. At first I thought I attached the doors incorrectly but they were installed properly. Wayfair had the best price.

Absolutely love this drying rack. I live in a relatively small apartment and hang most of my clothes to dry. I wanted a place to hang them where they would be out of the way (I used to hang them from the bathroom shower rod and door handles). I have a walk-in closet and I wanted a tall upright clothes rack that would fit easily in there. I was worried about getting the kind of rack that you drape clothes over because I didn't want, for example, metal to rust and eventually leave stains on the clothes draped over them, plus those racks are usually not big enough. I chose this because it allows you to hang clothes with hangers from the rack and has enough space to dry several articles of clothing at a time. Plus, when not in use, it folds down to a slim profile that fits nicely behind my closet door. Massive upgrade. I love this thing.

Really like this drying rack. Looks good and works well for intended purpose. Easy to assemble, however, was very difficult for me to attach to the wall. Cleats are not 16" apart, so it was hard to attach to wall studs. I moved the cleats on the back of the shelf so they were 16" apart, then had a difficult time sliding cleats on back of shelf into matching cleats attached to the wall. I see that another reviewer recommended attaching it to the wall while partially assembled and I think that would be the way to go. Not quite trusting the cleats to hold this up with wet clothes on the extended rack, I drilled holes in the beadboard where it is reinforced near the bottom and screwed into wall studs to be sure it is securely attached.

Exactly as described; convent to use and portable. I've been iso some type of outdoor drying system, but I unable use a retractable line . Living year round in sunny San Diego and relying on a gas dryer went against my grain and seems so wasteful. If you're conservation minded, or want to save on your utility bill, this is an awesome rack w/78' of linear drying line. Comes with a bottom mesh shelf to lay a garment flat on, which I don't need. Instead, I use it to hold my wet laundry as I hang up each piece. I can fit a complete queen sheet set on it, as well as numerous towels, underwear, etc. Things dry super fast on my patio in a mostly sunny spot. I'm saving money, but also feel good about doing my part to conserve Earth's resources. I'm sorry I didn't get one years ago!

Very good looking and holds twenty or more items. Since we`re wearing a lot of sweaters for the winter, we can go from washer to our "laundry buddy" and our sweaters line dry. We use it for all other types of clothing as well. It is easy to take down and stand up if you want to take it out outside on your deck for line drying and super fresh smelling clothing! Love mine!!

***Update: The mechanism that holds the arms up is failing. It will click into place but after you get clothes on the lines, the weight causes it to drop and fold up. Original review: Sturdy built, holds lots of clothes, turns with the wind to prevent toppling over. However, the little pipe thing that it comes with does not go deep enough into the ground and it got blown over rather easily; so we drove a pvc pipe into the ground leaving about 2 1/2' sticking up to slip the pole down into. I always leave it out, closed up when not in use of course, and it stood through some pretty crazy thunderstorms just fine. One thing I don't like about it is that the lines are nylon, so over time the weight of our clothes will start to pull the lines to where the knots slip a little loosening the line. I have had to retie most of them to snug up the lines again. Kind of annoying, but not something to return it over. I may eventually take the time to replace all the lines with cotton cord, we'll see.

My husband would never lit me have a clothesline outdoors; not at this home anyway. He thinks they are ugly! His mom always used an electric dryer. He doesn't do laundry! I alway hang things around on hangers, the fence, my bicycle, outdoors anyway! This rack is great for multiple items at once! I can put it away so we do not look like a laundry business! Pros: We are limited to how much water we can use and electricity is very expensive in rural areas of CA so this works out great for me, It is too hot to use electric dryer in summer here & clothes dry quickly in hot air. Cons: I could use a maid & house keeper but its not in the cards!

Rack was as described. Compact and will work for shirts and pants. Goes together easily with no tools. Check instructions to make sure that you have the the crossbars going in the right direction. It is hard from the illustration to see whether they are positioned correctly. Crossbars should fit easily into frame, if they do not try them in the opposite direction. Box arrived damaged, and there was some minor damage to one of the frames, but it was fixable and was not the fault of Wayfair.

This laundry butler is nice & sturdy! It's made of good a quality metal ( not plastic ) and the wheels are a easy glide on hardwood and carpet floors. I love the bottom rack for extra space to transport folded laundry. Top is great for hanging shirts! Shipping was super fast! Only took 15 minutes to assemble! Yes I would recommend this product to a friend and/or any person who can't lift or bend. I would also recommend this item to people who just like to be different and want that old Laundromat feel! What a fun item! Pros: Great value, durable finish, easy assembly, fast shipping! Cons: - none -

The Drying rack was delivered earlier than they said it would,, which was a nice surprise. I do love it. It's very spacious. It is not the greatest to dry sweaters on though. The wire rungs "lines" are 2 inches apart, so when you lay a sweater on it the fabric kind of sinks in between the lines. It can hold two sweaters for drying if you fold the arms of the sweaters, which is the way you're supposed to dry them anyway, I guess. There are ten "lines" to hang tons of socks on, but of course for effective drying you'd have to space them so they're not touching the ones on the next rung. Still you can hang quite a lot of undies,socks, gloves etc. I would not trust hanging items on the lines with hangers as I'm not too sure the metal lines are strong enough. All said, I think its better than I exprcted. Just don't expect to put heavy items on it, unless its spread across the entire surface. By the way, no assembly required, just take out of box and unfold.

I have received my Commercial Chrome Accordion Drying Rack and I love it! It seems to be very sturdy and hopefully the legs will not break on it. I have only had the wooden ones and I am looking forward to using one that you don't have to worry whether it be strong enough to hold something up. Pros: great value, great workmanship Cons: There isn't anything that I don't like about this product!

This seems to be sturdy and I like that it has so many lines, it fits a lot of clothes. I find the two height settings weird though. I can't take the dryer down very easily because the catch which adjusts for the different heights, gets stuck. I basically have to set the whole thing on its side to deconstruct it, which is a lot of effort for something that I am constantly setting up and down. I am also unsure about the plastic hinges: no issues yet but some of them show plastic stress lines, like they may have weak points where the plastic attaches to the frame, and I am concerned they may not be great quality. If something ever breaks it will be one of those hinges. Not what I expect for something this pricey.

This drying rack is awesome. With the A frame gives it support for heavy articles Being free standing gives me the opportunity to move it anytime. Rebrilliant, your ideas of creativity are superb. This merchandise is such an asset to my home organization. It appears that the material that has been used to build, this will should never rust. My granddaughter even uses this stand to dry her Yoga mat. It’s wide enough for the Yoga mat to fit over, which has been hard to find. I bought this not intending to use it for a drying rack but for hanging tissue paper and other hard to store things on it..however I have shown it with a few pieces of clothing in one photo and one with a really thick heavy sweater on it...it stays against the wall well and doesnt move with the weight of clothes on it...this would also be nice for scarves if you have alot of them...you could also use S hooks for other things you might want to hang from it...this could go behind a closet door or even hang on the back of a door with over the door hooks for extra storage...its a nice rack...all the pieces were marked..and it went together very easy.

I like it. It’s a weight game though because it is wobbly. We have to hang dry a lot of our clothes because we are tall. So it’s nice it has wheels and I can add sweaters in the middle first and lay things around it for stability. I wish the two sides for hang up clothes had notches or something to keep them from sliding off instead of the holes to stick your hangers in. It’s also awkward pulling the hangup clothes out of the holes. I do like it though. When we remodel the laundry room (soon hopefully, but don’t you just love the wall paper Lol). I will add a bar to hang clothes and still use this for my air dry clothes.
