I have a small (think skinny fat) living space that holds a fair amount of furniture, but the footrest of my husband's recliner is wide and created issues with my coffee table in front of my couch (where I normally sit). It is less deep than the one I'm replacing, and a few inches longer; plus it also has the bottom shelf for extra storage.
