Very nice chest, however it is not perfectly level on the floor. Also, it arrived with several deep cracks in the wood on the lid, and Wayfair was unable to send me a replacement lid. Not sure if the cracks will worsen over time. I do appreciate that it came assembled.. Tiffany. Montrose, CA. Mon Jun 29 2026

This carved trunk creates the fascination of rustic charm and functionality. The carving on the trunk has lotus carved in the middle which is a very ancient style carving. It also has the old chariot wheels carved on the trunk. The beautiful trunk opens upwards and is deep from the inside. This sleek piece has a lot of storage space inside to keep the blankets, toys, or pillows. It works perfectly as a coffee table in the living room. The trunk has a distressed look on its carving. This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. However, the chest came with damage to the hinge. My husband had to go out and buy new screws (because the original ones were too short) and bend the hinge back in shape before inserting the screws. Wayfair gave me a 20% discount because of the damage, which I consider good customer service. But there was another issue which I did not report to Wayfair because I was not aware of the issue at the time. The lid will not open all the way. The hinge is strong and the lid will stay open-but only about 3/4 of the way. I was able to get my stuff in the chest, but I have to bend down to the floor to get stuff out, but I have to pull it out at an angle instead of straight up. Again, my husband is going to try and adjust the hinges so that I can open it more. That said, the chest is gorgeous, but because of the hinge/lid issue-it is not worth the full asking price.. I loooove this coffee table! I will break down the pros and cons. There are fewer cons so I will start with the cons. The cons are that the coffee table came two days early which meant I couldn’t prepare to be home to receive it. Also the table was broken because the company that delivered it (not Wayfair delivery service) delivered it upright on its side. I was so disappointed. Also, the dimensions are off. The height on the website says 24” when it’s actually a little over 17.5” (which I prefer so not really a con). The pros are I called Wayfair and had the most friendly and reassuring customer representative who helped me get a replacement. I purchased the 3 year warranty but didn’t have to use it. I received the replacement within 3 days! The coffee table is 100 solid wood and the grain is beautiful. The 3 table sections open smoothly and stay open until you close it. The table also has an amazing amount of storage which I have filled with tons of books. This is truly a find and for the price it’s worth every penny. I also bought the sofa (in the picture) from Wayfair. I am a loyal customer. Thanks Wayfair!. Bobbette. Houston, TX. Fri Feb 05 2021
